Q: What makes this light innovative?

A: Well, the fact that it's a flashlight that has two pivot points, right? So you can pivot the head and you can pivot the base, and it also has the flat surface on the front that's magnetic, so it can be used for smaller parts that are on the car. You can just slap them right on the flashlight. So those three features are really very unique to a flashlight.

Q: What was the inspiration behind creating this product?

A: Well, we looked at the flashlights that were out there, and we sell some non-private branded flashlights. So we wanted to come up with something that was just as good as those but had some additional features that those don't have that we could go out and advertise as being unique, exclusive features for us.

And so, so many people put the flashlights in their mouth because they want it hands-free, so we decided to come up with the magnetic base and then being able to pivot that as well as the head allows them to get all the angles that they would need without having to put it in their mouth.

Q: How will this product improve the lives of technicians and shop owners?

A: Like I said, just being able to use it hands-free is big. Flashlights are a little bit bigger and bulkier than some of the smaller pen lights. So when you have that bulk, it's hard to find somewhere to put it when you need to set it down for a minute to use your hands. And this way, they're not wasting time digging in their pockets trying to find somewhere to put it.

They put it where they want it. They just rotate it how they need it and now they're able to use it and save time, as well as go, “Hey, I've got these small parts I just took off the car. Where am I going to put them? Oh wait, I have to go grab a magnetic tray. So now they don't have to do that as well. So in the end, I think it's a big timesaver.

Q: What's the feedback been like from the technicians who have purchased this light?

A: Yeah, they love it. You know, we came out with just one color when we first launched it to try and to test the waters. Then with all the positive feedback and its usefulness out there, we've added several colors to the line.

Q: Is there anything else that our readers should know?

A: It's just a great multi-purpose light, and I think everyone uses a flashlight, even in your home as well. Besides the mechanics, there are other people that use flashlights. And I think once they learn about some of the multi-features of it, I think they're going to realize they really need to have one.
