Question: What does ESD stand for in the electronic pliers line?

Answer:

ESD stands for electrostatic discharge or electrostatic dissipative. Knipex uses ESD handles on some of the electronic pliers in order to discharge electrostatic energy. This is particularly critical when working around components that can be damaged by even the smallest of static electricity.
