Meritor driveline aftermarket warranty extended

Jan. 19, 2012
Warranty for driveline purchases made after Feb. 1 extended to two years.

Demonstrating confidence in the quality of its products, Meritor, Inc. is extending the aftermarket warranty on Meritor Permalube (RPL) and Meritor XTended Lube (MXL) drivelines from the industry standard of one year to two years for driveline purchases made on or after Feb.1.

"This is another first for these highly successful aftermarket drivelines," said Doug Ringer, product manager, Drivelines, Meritor Aftermarket. The drivelines are distributed via authorized parts outlets, including warehouse distributors and OEM dealers.

"The RPL driveline by Meritor was the first and only commercially available, permanently lubricated driveline in North America, and the MXL driveline is the first and only 10-Series compatible driveline with 100,000-mile lubrication intervals," Ringer said. He also noted that at least three customers have confirmed the operation of the RPL drivelines beyond 1 million miles.

The new warranty covers defective materials or workmanship when such parts are used on vehicles that meet the specifications approved by Meritor.
