Guardair Corporation announced it has acquired the assets of Allen Gasket Cutting Machine, Co. of New Bedford, MA. Featuring a line of rotary-style gasket cutters, Allen will be absorbed into the Allpax Gasket Cutter Systems Division at Guardair's Chicopee, MA headquarters.

"Acquisition of the Allen product line is a key component of our strategy to expand our presence in the fluid sealing market", states Thomas Tremblay, President of Guardair.  "Allen expands our high end product offerings and gives our customers a proven solution for some very demanding applications." 

Originally developed and patented in the 1930's, the Allen rotary-style gasket cutter is ideal for the custom fabrication of flange and ring gaskets. Thousands are in use in a wide range of industries including petrochemical plants, shipbuilding yards, power plants, breweries, pulp and paper mills, refrigerated facilities, and oil refineries. Easy to operate and virtually maintenance-free, the Allen rotary-style gasket cutter quickly and accurately cuts a wide variety of common gasket materials.
