Shell Lubricants and Kia Motors Europe have renewed their technical partnership agreement, reconfirming Shell Lubricants as the car manufacturer's preferred European motor oil supplier. The initial five-year agreement has now been extended to December 2016.
The collaboration between the two companies was first established in 2009 and offers a wide range of benefits to customers at all levels, including owners of Kia vehicles and Kia's distributors and dealers. Under the agreement, Shell will be providing lubricants training to further enhance the technical knowledge of Kia mechanics and service advisers, and will also be part of the Kia Board of Winners event. For customers, engine oil change stickers and oil top-up kits, will be provided to raise awareness of how motor oil keeps their Kia engine running smoothly.
Roger Moulding, GKA vice president, Shell Lubricants, commented: "We have been working with Kia Motors across Europe for many years now and continue to be impressed by their high quality and innovative approach. With the largest global market share in the lubricants industry, we have the scale and reach to deliver value across the Kia Motors service network, so extending this cooperation will enable both parties to continue to better serve the needs of our customers. By bringing our technical expertise to this relationship, Shell is working with Kia to bring maximum value to their dealers through the lubricant training module as well as other trade programmes."
Vice president of Kia Motors Europe Aftersales, Uwe Hannes commented, "This renewed technical partnership agreement strengthens the alliance of our two global brands, with the aim of further improving customer and dealer satisfaction. Shell has the geographical reach, marketing capability and world-class technology to successfully work with Kia as we continue to expand our market share and product portfolio throughout Europe."
