Power Lifter from Martins Industries now lifts SUV and light truck wheels

The company has added multiple features to the Power Lifter to improve technician efficiency and safety.

Martins Industries has added new features to its Power Lifter tire and wheel lifter. Originally designed and put on the market three years ago as a tool for lifting passenger vehicle wheels, the Power Lifter can now lift SUVs and pickup truck wheels thanks to its greater load capacity, which has increased from 110 lbs to 187 lbs.

To improve the efficiency of tire installation and further reduce the risk of a work injury, Martins Industries has also added the following features:

  • A safety strap to hold wheels in place.
  • Three automatic lift speeds to lift tires and wheels in under 13 seconds (as compared to a single, slow speed on the original model).
  • A hardware tray and impact wrench holder to keep tools in place and handy.

“Our goal was to improve our product’s load capacity and equip it with new features while reducing the price...and we did it!” says Jean-François Laberge, managing director, Martins Industries.

The Power Lifter enables technicians to change the tires on a passenger vehicle, SUV, or light truck without injuring their back, neck or shoulders, according to the company. With the touch of a button, the machine does all the lifting. In addition, the tire and wheel lifter’s ergonomic handle and pivoting casters make it easy to handle and move around.

Knowing that a technician has to bend over an average of 28 times to change four tires, it’s easy to see how this product can help prevent work accidents. Everyone in the industry wins by reducing the costs related to accidents and injuries, missed workdays, having to train new employees, etc.

The Power Lifter comes with two 12V rechargeable batteries and a charger. Each long-lasting battery enables technicians to change approximately 500 passenger-car tires on a single charge.
