CTA introduced the 5 Pc. Oil Pan Drain Plug Kit, No. 5049. The kit was developed due to today’s vehicles using special design drain plugs to ensure proper installation and torque limits on the seals. The 5 Pc. Oil Pan Drain Plug Kit is used for removing the most common plastic drain plugs found on many late model vehicles. Each adapter is unique in design to prevent damage to the drain plugs during removal or installation. Use the T-handle tool with the square drive ball lock to attach one of the four adapters. The 3/8” square fitting can be used to remove some drain plugs. Vehicle applications include: Ford, Lincoln, Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Volkswagen, and Audi.
