EcoClean Advantage announces DPF cleaning and drying machines

Together, both the Cleaning Machine and the DPF Drying Cabinet offer a way to clean and dry a filter in under two hours, the company says.

EcoClean Advantage, LLC announced the launch of its second phase liquid-based DPF (diesel particulate filter) Cleaning Machine, No. 1100, that is designed to restore a DPF to like-new condition in as little as two hours. The automated, computer-guided cleaning process requires less than five minutes of hands-on operator time per filter, the company says. The patent-pending machine uses a proprietary biodegradable cleaning agent, filters, reuses water, and separates soot and ash for recycling.

“Our DPF cleaning machine fulfills the industry’s need for a fast, economical and non-destructive way to clean DPFs,” said Bryan Case, general manager, EcoClean Advantage. “Finally you can clean a DPF in less time than it takes to change oil or tires, while saving time and money.”

In addition to the No. 1100 Cleaning Machine, EcoClean Advantage announced the release of the DPF Drying Cabinet which takes a water cleaned filter and dries it in less than 20 minutes. Together, both the Cleaning Machine and the DPF Drying Cabinet offer a way to clean and dry a filter in under two hours, the company says.

The ability to effectively clean and dry a DPF in such a short time results in improved efficiency and increased revenue potential for shop owners, according to the company. In addition, the EcoClean non-destructive water-cleaning process eliminates the need for extended kiln-baking at 1,350 degrees Fahrenheit, which can cause a DPF to crack and break.

According to Case, fleets operating their own EcoClean machines will benefit from significant cost savings when compared to using an outside DPF cleaning service, and that fleets will also gain substantial uptime and will save money on fuel thanks to improved fuel efficiency due to more frequent DPF cleaning.
