KNIPEX Tools introduced a new 12” version of its popular Pliers Wrench. The 12” Pliers Wrench is available in a chrome plated finish, No. 86 03 300, and a new black atramentized finish, No. 86 01 300.

The new 12” Pliers Wrench features an increased jaw capacity from 2 1/2” to 2 3/8”, a more than 13 percent increase from the previous model. The increased jaw capacity is due to the addition of two more adjustment positions, which gives the 12” Pliers Wrench a total of 24 different push-button adjustment positions. While maintaining the same box-joint stability, the new 12” Pliers Wrench is 10 percent lighter than the previous model.

Other new features for the Pliers Wrench include recessed areas for a better grip and laser-etched markings in both metric and imperial. This feature is key in determining the jaw opening before setting the wrench on the fastener. The 12” Pliers Wrench also features reliable catching of the hinge bolt, so there is no unintentional shifting of the tool.

The full Pliers Wrenches line is forged and oil-hardened in chrome, vanadium electric steel, and is also made available in 5” to 16” lengths with capacities from 7/8” to 3 3/8”. Zero backlash jaw pressure prevents damage to edges, and the tool’s smooth jaws are designed to prevent it from marring any workpiece surfaces, including chrome. The parallel jaws evenly distribute force for a secure grip that is 10 times the pressure applied to the handles.

“KNIPEX’s recent improvements to the Pliers Wrench provides better performance, less weight, and more versatility to one of our most popular product lines,” said Peter A. Grable, product manager, KNIPEX Tools. “With the 12-inch Pliers Wrench, users can replace a whole set of open-ended wrenches with just one tool.”
