Q: What types of jobs/repairs did you use this tool for?

A: To date, I have used Bar’s Leaks Trans Fix during a transmission service on a high mileage Silverado as a precaution/preventative benefit. Next came a 2008 Cruze experiencing mild TCC Slip, most of the testing showed board line code enabling slippage. After adding the Trans Fix the TCC slippage stopped completely in under 50 miles. My last use was on a 1998 Corolla that was experiencing slow engagement, harsh shifts. The Trans Fix didn’t 100 percent cure this monster in our follow-up testing but did greatly improve both the engagement and shift feel. The owner has not called back despite suggesting a second application with full service.

Q: What kind of setup was involved before using the product?

A: Shake, shake, shake the bottle well. Find out how much fluid is required for the application.

Q: How was its packaging? Did it come with any accessories?

A: Trans Fix is in an 11.5 oz plastic bottle, there is a spout lid for easier (cleaner) pouring.

Q: Was there a manual included?

A: No manual but usage instructions on the back of the bottle.

Q: What features did you like?

A: Universal application. The Bar’s Leaks Trans Fix works with all transmissions including manual.  It may prolong the life of a transmission, and it stops or slows most leaks.

Q: Is there any way you could think to improve or add to the product?

A: It would be nice to have a measured viewing window on the side of the bottle, it would be very helpful when only using a portion of the product.

Also, it doesn’t recommend exchanging the fluid at first application, but I believe it should. Out with the old and in with the new. Though, it does recommend changing the fluid and filter if a second application is needed.

Q: On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate this tool overall? Why?

A: I have to award Bar’s Leaks a 10 for their Trans Fix offering. It seems to be working as well if not better than the other products we have been using for years.
