Q: How did the tool function as far as saving you time?
A: The flex head allowed me to fit it into areas without having to try to use swivel sockets and the length made it possible to loosen extremely tight fasteners.
Q: How has using this tool impacted your shop's profitability?
A: It might take longer to see it but quality tools that don’t easily break always will increase shop profit.
Q: What kind of setup was involved before using the product?
A: Open the box and you're all set.
Q: How easy was it to use?
A: Simple. Just like any other ratchet. The handle extension is very self-explanatory and easy to use.
Q: How was its packaging? Did it come with any accessories?
A: It came in a cardboard box picturing what you're going to find inside. The ratchet and handle are fitted in a foam holder that you can transfer right into your toolbox.
Q: What features did you like?
A: The flex head is just enough to help it work in some tighter areas. The 72-tooth gearing helps work in areas where the swing is a problem. The finish on the ratchet looks great and the foam storage tray has a little extra room where you can carve out spots for a few adapters.
Q: Is there any way could think to improve or add to this tool?
A: I think the only thing I might recommend would be to thread the extension handle so that the end plug from the ratchet handle has somewhere to go rather than risk being lost out of pocket. But then again, the extension handle should only be needed for a turn or two, and then it can be removed, and the end cap placed back into the ratchet handle. Perhaps I just overthink things too much?
Q: What types of jobs/repairs did you use this tool for?
A: I used this for body/frame mounts on a 1970 K30 Chevy Pickup, the control arms on a 2014 GMC Terrain, and loosening wheels on a school bus just to see how easy it was with and without the extension.
Q: How does this tool compare to other tools you've used like it?
A: I have several brands of 1/2" ratchets. The one I have closest to this in length — I don't know how many teeth the gears have — but it takes considerably more space to use, and I have broken the gear set under a lot less stress than I have already put the K-Tool through. This is hands down a better tool.
Q: On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate this tool overall? Why?
A: A 10. The ratchet's 72-tooth gears speed up work, especially in tighter areas. The extension handle makes loosening the most stubborn fasteners easier. The ratchet fits nicely in the hand and looks great.
