MACS 2018 Training Event brings 850 attendees

MACS 2019 Training Event and Trade Show will take place February 21-23 in Anaheim, CA.

The MACS 2018 Training Event and Trade Show in Orlando, FL brought 850 attendees together for training, social events and commerce.

“One of our attendees summed it up best when they commented to us, … we had a great show filled with education, networking, relationship building and continued growth of friendships,'" said Elvis L. Hoffpauir, MACS president and COO.

MACS honored outstanding members, both veteran and up-and-coming, by naming five new Mobile A/C Industry Pioneers, two new Mobile A/C Ambassadors and one Lifetime of Technical Achievement recipient. 

Honored with the Pioneer award  for a lifetime of industry achievements were:

  • Richard Cox of Ranshu, Dallas, TX;
  • Bruce Crow of Crow’s Trucks, Memphis, TN;
  • Eugene Dianetti of Parker Hannifin, Collierville, TN;
  • Doris Showalter of Eaton, Maumee, OH; and
  • Bill Wallace of Gates, Columbus, GA.

Honored with the MACS Ambassador Award, for going "above and beyond" to promot MACS in the mobile A/C industry, were:

  • Robert Li of Liland Global, East Syracuse, NY, and
  • Donley Travis Williams of Honeywell, Johnson City, TN.

Honored for a lifetime of technical achievement was Dr. Alex Moultanovsky of ACC Climate Control, a Valeo Brand, Elkhart, IN.

Product awards went to:

  • Most Service-Friendly Product: CPS Automotive's Car Smart A/C Inspector Kit 
  • Best Use of Technology: Webasto's HVAC SP 80

The MACS 2019 Training Event and Trade Show will take place February 21-23 at the Anaheim Marriott, Anaheim, CA.

"Refrigerant purchasing law changes and the changeover to the new refrigerant R-1234yf are driving the industry,"  Marion Posen, vice president of marketing said. "We see the most growth in the truck and off road vehicle A/C."

Since 1981, the Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide has been the advocate for service and repair owners, distributors, manufacturers and educators making their living in the total vehicle climate and thermal management industry.
