MAHLE Service Solutions receives MACS 2016 “Best Use of Technology” Award for TechPRO Integrated A/C Unit

The MAHLE Service Solutions ArcticPRO ACX1285 and the ACX1299, a specialized version of the A/C machine for Kia, received the “Best Use of Technology” new product award at the 2016 Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide Trade Show. The award, selected by an impartial panel of automotive press members, was presented to the company during MACS 2016 at the Caribe Royale Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

“This is the second year in a row we’ve earned this distinguished award,” said Andreas Huber, general manager, MAHLE Service Solutions. “Being recognized in this way helps confirm our entire team’s research and hard work to manufacture products that help technicians work easier and more productively.”

As part of the MAHLE Service Solutions line of SMART A/C units, the ACX1285/ACX1299 are fully-automatic to recover, vacuum, leak test and charge the new worldwide standard R1234yf refrigerant. The units are fully integrated with a version of the TechPRO diagnostic scan tool software, an industry first, for complete and accurate HVAC system diagnostics and testing for determining system health.

Technicians who utilize the ACX1285/ACX1299 are able to decode a vehicle identification number (VIN) and read diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) in seconds with the Bluetooth-enabled vehicle communication interface (VCI). The 7" LCD touch screen provides intuitive menus and graphic displays of pressures, weights and temperatures for optimized interactivity. The ACX1285/ACX1299 recover over 95 percent of automobile A/C system refrigerant, with easy access for service and maintenance tasks.
