Celebrating women in auto repair on International Women's Day

March 8, 2022
How can you make the industry even more appealing for the many talented female techs out there?

Endeavor Business Media's Vehicle Repair Group, home of Motor Age, PTEN, ABRN, Professional Distributor, and Aftermarket Business World, would like to wish everyone a happy International Women's Day!

While the auto repair industry is largely male dominated, some strides have been made in recent years. According to statistics from 2019, nearly 10 percent of the industry was female, up from just over one percent in 1999. The Vehicle Repair Group would like to see more women entering the auto care industry and throughout the month we will be highlighting some of the exceptional women across our sector.

Here are just a few articles focused on women in automotive that will hopefully both inspire more women to join the industry and shine some light on ways shops can attract more women techs.
