Car repair marketplace search engine launched to find shops in U.S.

Helps connect consumers with local shops in their area.

Autofix Buddy, an e-commerce automotive company, has launched a search engine function for car repairs.

The search function enables consumers to find thousands of qualified repair shops in the United States and Canada.

"Similar to concepts like booking.com, Autofix Buddy helps car owners and shops to easily find each other and do business," the company said in a release. "It’s ideally suited to individuals who would like to get their car repaired quickly after a crash, government inspection, or for regular maintenance by qualified professionals in the local community."

Individuals can find a repair shop near them by visiting the website and entering their city name into the search bar. They can filter by the type of car they have, by the service they require, and by amenities such as Wi-Fi in the waiting room and coffee. The search function will then generate a list of nearby car repair shops. Customers can then book an appointment via the online calendar on the site. After booking, their appointment will be confirmed by the shop.

Auto repair shop owners can sign up to have their business listed on the website. There are different payment plans available based on different needs. Autofix Buddy’s algorithm can identify and segment shops by qualification and category.

One nice feature is shops can place a live calendar of their availability on the website, something younger consumers and those who are more tech savvy are expecting nowadays. Customers can book a time slot directly through this function.

"For shops, signing up includes several benefits, including increasing brand visibility, accessing a wide variety of marketplace benefits, and the ability to book extra work," the company said. "[We] are passionate about connecting car owners with qualified collision repairers, insurers, and fleet management companies."

Autofix Buddy currently has over 8,500 independent and franchise garages in its network.
