MOTOSHOP Technology Tools’ First Year Nets Exciting Growth
MOTOSHOPSM Technology Tools, a product portfolio from Advance Auto Parts, Inc., is celebrating its one-year anniversary with enhancements to its Web-based programs for commercial shop owners and technicians – MotoLOGIC® Repair & Diagnostics, MotoSKILL™ Shop Tech Training, and MotoREV™ Shop Marketing – and is now beginning to roll out the innovative MotoSHOP™ Shop Management System.

MotoSHOP Shop Management System, which is expected to launch nationally in spring 2015, features a customer-facing interface designed to help improve shop operations and enhance the overall customer experience. The Web-based platform offers touchscreen capabilities and will streamline online parts ordering, inventory management, customer service history tracking and quotes and invoice generation.
MotoLOGIC provides unedited OE content for more than 94 percent of cars and light duty trucks on the road today and includes enhanced color wiring diagrams and the preservation of OEM-specific features and functionality, such as electrical flow diagrams. Recently, MotoLOGIC added Subaru OE repair and diagnostics information to its offering, boosting its coverage to over 21 million articles. Additional manufacturer data for BMW and Mitsubishi is in development.
MotoSKILL Shop Tech Training added 15 new courses in 2014, added seven courses in Spanish, and also created an additional testing module. MotoSKILL offers comprehensive training programs with more than 190 hours of online video courses – from automotive basics to advanced diagnostic training – and ASE test prep materials. The portfolio will be enhanced soon as MotoSKILL partners with the renowned CARQUEST Technical Institute (CTI) to bring industry leading classroom training to shops, in addition to online training.
MotoREV continues to innovate in personalized and automated shop marketing initiatives and began offering customer-targeted, personalized Postcards this year. MotoREV provides services that help commercial garages improve brand awareness and attract, retain and connect with customers.
