AAIA's Schmatz notes changes in health care act

July 17, 2013
AAIA develops package to help members understand ACA.

The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) will begin a series of webinars on Sept. 18, 2013 on full-time employee determination under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) as part of a package of webinars, information, articles, resources and exclusive counseling options to help members make sense of the ACA, according to Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO of AAIA. In her blog, Schmatz notes the government recently announced a 1-year extension of the act’s provision that large employers must offer health insurance to full-time employees or face a fine. She notes the delay will enable companies who do not currently offer health insurance additional time to understand how full time employees are determined under ACA. Read the blog.
