Tekmetric has launched its digital authorization update to the Tekmetric Shop Management System. The updates allow shop owners to gain a more full digital authorization by:
Attaining digital signatures
Providing full repair order (RO) authorization histories
Building upon existing compliance procedures for state regulations
The digital signatures feature of the update means shops can go entirely paperless for all authorizations throughout a repair. For each vehicle inspection or quote a customer needs to sign, they can just use their fingers on a touchpad or a mouse on a screen to create a signature that can easily be saved and shared as needed.
Another feature of this update provides shops with access to a complete authorization history for every RO. This includes a real-time snapshot of the estimate at the time of approval. With this feature, shop owners are better protected against chargeback claims and other potential challenges.
Additionally, this update builds on the existing authorization flow and details display to continue improving compliance with state regulations.
