Accuride appoints Tony Pape director, aftermarket strategy and sales

Pape reports to Chuck Byrnes, senior vice president, sales and marketing, and is based at Accuride's Evansville headquarters.

Accuride Corporation, a supplier of components to the North American commercial vehicle industry, announced the appointment of Company and industry veteran Tony Pape to the newly expanded role of director, aftermarket strategy and sales.  Pape reports to Chuck Byrnes, senior vice president, sales and marketing, and is based at Accuride's Evansville headquarters.

"In addition to the investments we have made to improve performance for the Aftermarket, Accuride has refined our Sales and Marketing efforts to reflect the importance of our Aftermarket customers to the Company's near-term success and long-term business strategy," said Chuck Byrnes.  "Tony's appointment to this role supports our heightened strategic focus on the Aftermarket. We will rely on him for leadership on the Aftermarket 'Five Ps:' Programs, Policies, Pricing, Procedures, and People."

In his newly expanded role, Pape will ensure that Accuride Wheel End Solutions' Aftermarket policies and pricing strategies are consistent.  He will review all distribution additions, cancellations and other changes maximize opportunities for growth and strengthened customer relationships.  Pape also will serve as Accuride's point person for its Distributor Advisory Council (DAC), as well as lead Accuride's Aftermarket customer and industry events.

From his previous role, Tony will maintain day-to-day account management responsibility for the key national accounts he previously managed, while continuing to provide overall account leadership for Aftermarket customers targeted for significant growth.

With more than 25 years of industry sales and marketing experience, Tony joined Accuride in 2005 in an Aftermarket leadership role and held subsequent positions in Sales and Marketing.  Prior to Accuride, he spent more than 14 years with Meritor in various Marketing, Sales, and Finance roles. Tony earned his MBA and bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Illinois.  A past member of the Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network board of directors, Tony represents Accuride on the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association's Marketing and Sales Forum.
