University of the Aftermarket opens recruitment for the 2013-2014 Leadership 2.0 Class

June 18, 2013
This year’s Leadership 2.0 marks the 20th anniversary of the program’s very first class.

The University of the Aftermarket has officially opened recruitment for the next Leadership 2.0 class, which begins August 25-30, on the campus of Northwood University in Midland, Michigan. The second session will be held April 6-11, 2014, at Northwood's West Palm Beach, Florida, campus. Participants must attend both sessions.

Leadership 2.0 is an intensive post-graduate style leadership and business skills education experience designed to promote the development of the next generation of aftermarket leaders. In addition to the two weeklong classroom segments–which feature lectures, roundtable discussions, networking sessions and team research and problem-solving activities–participants work off-site to develop and present team research projects covering key industry issues. Featured presenters include leading aftermarket executives and faculty members of the Northwood University DeVos Graduate School of Management. Class size is limited to 30.

The program is designed for early- to mid-career, management-track, high-potential aftermarket professionals in all market segments. Program participants include a mix of aftermarket professionals from manufacturing, jobbers, program groups, warehouses, service dealers, associations and other industry segments allied to the motor vehicle aftermarket. This collaborative mix of industry levels is unique in the industry and adds to the educational experience.

"It is noteworthy that this year's class is the 20th anniversary of the very first Leadership program, then called 'Leadership 2010.' The program has evolved over the last two decades into one of the most important educational programs in the industry. It's for this reason that the program sells out year after year," said University of the Aftermarket Director Brian Cruickshank, MAAP.

The cost of the two-week program is $6,100 and includes tuition, class materials, meals and lodging. More information and registration details are available at www.universityoftheaftermarket.com (click "Course Calendar") or call 800.551.2882.

Participants receive 7.0 CEUs toward their Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) designations.
