AssetWorks, a provider of fleet management software, automated fuel management systems, motor pool systems, and operational asset management systems announced that the State of Washington Department of Natural Resources (Washington DNR) has selected AssetWorks integrated fleet management software to manage its large fleet.
Washington DNR manages 5.6 million acres of forest, range, agricultural, aquatic, and commercial lands for the people of Washington. These lands generate more than $200 million a year, much of it to support public schools, state institutions and county services. To maintain this large area, Washington DNR operates a fleet of 1,600 vehicles and equipment.
Washington DNR’s choice of fleet management system was influenced in part by the State of Washington Department of Enterprise Services (DES), who has been an AssetWorks fleet management software customer for more than eight years.
FleetFocus tracks all functions related to the maintenance of vehicles and equipment, including processing repair and preventive maintenance PM work orders, capturing operating expenses (e.g., fuel, oil, and licensing), and offers billing and tracking for vehicle equipment usage. Washington DNR can also track its radios and equipment in the same system. FleetFocus can help Washington DNR streamline its maintenance process, increase vehicle availability and improve the bottom line.
“We are excited to develop a partnership with AssetWorks,” states Kathy Kjorlaug, project manager. “With the proven track record at Washington DES, we feel confident in the system’s ability to handle our fleet management needs.”
AssetWorks’ fleet management software is used by government agencies at all levels in North America, including 27 of the 50 states.
