Following the acquisition of Aftermarket Telematics Technologies LLC (ATT) and its Vehimatics connected car technology, Innova Electronics Corporation has formed a new division, Innova Telematics Solutions.
The new division will be headquartered at the corporate offices in Irvine, Calif. and will be led by Mike Fitzgerald serving as executive vice president and general manager. Jim Dykstra, former president of ATT, will assume the role of director of telematics for Innova Telematics Solutions.
Dykstra brings an extensive telematics background to Innova. He founded ATT in 2011 while serving as CEO of Dykstra’s Auto Service with locations in Hudsonville, Byron Center and Grand Rapids, Mich. In 2015, he formed Dytech Automotive Group to lead the direction of currently owned shops and set the strategy for future shop acquisitions. A graduate of Ferris State University with a degree in automotive sciences, Dykstra is an active member of the auto care industry, currently serving on the Auto Care Association board of directors and its telematics work group.
“By combining Innova Fleet Services and Vehimatics connected car technology under one umbrella, we are able to offer a full suite of telematics solutions to the automotive aftermarket,” said Fitzgerald. “Whether a parts distributor, service provider or fleet manager, Innova Telematics Solutions can provide the business intelligence, remote diagnostics, and parts and vehicle management technology needed to compete.”
