Assembling Toyota HVAC

This is a tip regarding any HVAC repair of 2016-2020 Toyota Prius requiring reassembly of the quick connect fitting between the suction hose sub-assembly and the suction pipe sub-assembly located at the top right of the engine compartment. Inspect the O-ring mating surfaces of the suction hose/pipe sub-assemblies for any evidence of damage. If there is no damage, replace the pipe clamp and two O-rings and reassemble the quick connect fitting per the service manual. During reassembly, confirm a click sound is heard as the pipe clamp engages, After reassembly, rotate the pipe and ensure that it rotates freely to confirm that the clamp is fully engaged.
