This bulletin applies to 2013-2015 Hyundai Veloster Turbo vehicles equipped with a 1.6L turbo GDI engine, with a DTC P0133 (heated oxygen sensor B1S1 slow response).

The O2 sensor may have developed a heavy carbon buildup.

Replace the B1S1 O2 sensor and perform an ECM update. You must initially perform GDS ECU update in Auto Mode. If the ECM update starts but then fails in Auto Mode, perform the update in Manual Mode to recover. After the update, erase all DTCs.
