• Inspect BMW Driveshaft Flex Discs

    This bulletin applies to all BMW models. When performing underbody inspection, note that the flexible disc at either the front, rear or at both ends of the propeller shaft may show signs of cracking.

    This bulletin applies to all BMW models. When performing underbody inspection, note that the flexible disc at either the front, rear or at both ends of the propeller shaft may show signs of cracking.

    The outer surface of the disc consists of hard rubber which is slightly brittle. Due to exposure to driveshaft reversal loads and slight flexing, cracks can develop on the disc surface. Minor cracks are normal and acceptable.

    Replacement is needed when more severe cracking/degradation is found. Refer to the sample photos.
