This bulletin applies to 2013-2014 Jaguar XK/X150, XJ/X351 and XF/X250 vehicles. The customer may note that a park-brake warning lamp is illuminated and/or a park-brake fault message is displayed in the instrument pack. Investigation with SDD, DTC P1571-64 (brake switch signal plausibility) may be stored. The cause: a communication issue between the PCM and the park-brake module.

If U0100-00 has been logged along with P1571-64 and there are no other P codes relating to brake light switch logged in the PCM, there is unlikely to be an issue with the brake light switch. JLR are currently developing a fix for this issue. Until the fix is developed and releases, the correct action for this issue is only to clear the DTCs. Adjusting or replacing the brake light switch will not resolve the issue.
