Replacing Ford Mustang Catalytic Converter

Some 2018-2019 Ford Mustangs equipped with a 5.0L engine and automatic transmission, and built on or before April 23, 2019, may exhibit a MIL on with DTC P0420 and/or P0430.

Some 2018-2019 Ford Mustangs equipped with a 5.0L engine and automatic transmission, and built on or before April 23, 2019, may exhibit a MIL on with DTC P0420 and/or P0430. This may be due to the operation of the PCM.

Replace the affected catalytic converter per the DTC. Reprogram the PCM using the latest available software.

W712334-S440............strut tower brace nuts (four)

W714878-S450............steering shaft bolt

GR3Z-9448-D...............left exhaust manifold gasket

W714870-S430...........left exhaust manifold nut (eight)

W714869-S431.......left exhaust manifold stud (eight)

5G232.....................left exhaust manifold and catalyst assembly

W705443-S900.......right catalyst to exhaust manifold nut (two)

BR3Z-5B266-A........right catalyst gasket

5E212.....................right catalyst (refer to VIN for both catalysts)
