APRA's Chief Technical Officer, Mark Kothe, announced that the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association would hold their first Electrical Clinic in Houston, Texas on March 16-17.
Kothe stated, "We realized recently that we had never held a regional Electrical Clinic in Houston and since it is a major city with many electrical rebuilders, we decided we were long overdue." The clinic will be held at the Doubletree Hotel at the Houston Intercontinental Airport. The program will feature the following speakers and presentations:
Mohammad Samii will cover Computer Activation and Regulator Interface as well as Rebuilding Techniques for Newer Starters and Alternators;
Al Steadman of Litens will discuss Demystifying the Four Different Types of Alternator Pulley Technologies;
Fred Feres of Exide will give an update on the ever evolving batteries of today, and their interaction with the charging and starting systems; and
Michael Wang of WAIglobal/Transpo will talk about Watercooled Alternators and Their Electronics.
There will also be a mini-exposition for suppliers who wish to display their literature and small parts that will be held Friday evening (March 16th) during the reception and all day on the 17th during coffee breaks.
