Auto Truck Group introduces a new program and catalog of pre-built work trucks for railroad and rail transit applications. The Rail-Ready Rail Truck program includes 16 types of pre-built vehicles upfitted with features and equipment needed by the country's freight and transit rail systems.

The Auto Truck Rail-Ready program is a one-of-a-kind pool supplying the most in-demand vehicles produced by leading truck manufacturers for Class I roads, regional shortlines, railroad maintenance contractors, and transit agencies across the U.S. Buyers have numerous product lines and equipment options to choose from within the ready-to-roll inventory including material handlers, welders, and more. Lead times are greatly reduced when fleet managers purchase their service trucks from the pool of vehicles that Auto Truck stocks at each of it's nine facilities across the United States and Canada.

"We developed the Rail-Ready program to meet the need for rapid replacement of service vehicles, should there be an accident or some other catastrophic event. When fleet managers can access quick replacement vehicles it also saves them money because they don't have to buy and keep spares on-hand," said Jeff Mower, Manager of Railroad Sales for Auto Truck Group.

The company has a long-standing relationship with the railroad industry as the key provider of work trucks suited for the specialized construction and maintenance tasks that are performed, and the variety of challenging environments where rail lines and yards are located. In addition to offering new vehicles for purchase, Auto Truck Group provides field service and an extensive parts inventory.

A new 14-page Rail-Ready Catalog provides information, images, and specifications for the 16 best-selling truck types which will be stocked, including: Aerial; Dump; Gang; Grapple; Material Handler; Mechanic; Platform; Plow; Pick-up with Cap; Section; Service; Signal; Track Inspection; Truck with Tool Boxes; Welder; and Yard Truck. For more specialized applications or upfits, fleet managers can request individualized design and engineering assistance.

Auto Truck Group is mailing the catalog to existing rail customers and making it available as a PDF download on the company website at: www.autotruck.com/RailReady.
