Q: What are the advantages of air tools over cordless tools?

A: An air tool construction is generally more rugged and will stand up to tougher working conditions. Air tools are generally less bulky (without the battery pack at the foot of the handle). Air tools generally are lighter in weight than cordless tools. When comparing equal-quality brands, air tools are less costly than cordless tools. There is no “downtime” with an air tool to replace/re-charge the battery.
