The preventive maintenance helps prevent or mitigate premature battery failure and the corrective maintenance reverses or corrects an issue that has already occurred. Encompassing all three elements into a BMP ensures optimal vehicle electrical system performance, lowers battery related maintenance costs, eliminates jump starts, extends battery life, adheres to environmental goals and reduces the number of new batteries purchased.
