ATEQ TPMS Tools introduces Wi-Fi feature for VT56

April 15, 2020
The Wi-Fi update feature will allow users to update their VT56 tool without plugging it into a PC.

ATEQ TPMS Tools, LC, announced that the ATEQ VT56 will now have the feature to update via Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi update feature will allow users to update their VT56 tool without plugging it into a PC. When an update is available for download, a message will display on the screen. To complete the update, users must be connected to an internet source.

The tool goes through two steps to download software via Wi-Fi. First, the tool downloads the software; second, the tool decompresses the software, which causes the tool to restart multiple times. This process also occurs when downloading software from WebVT.

Before updating via Wi-Fi, the company says to charge the tool, as the update can take up to 40 minutes. ATEQ recommends that users keep their tool charged when updating via Wi-Fi so the update is not interrupted.

ATEQ says should any problems occur when updating the tool, to try to update via WebVT. If the problem persists, contact the ATEQ tech support team at 888-621-8767, Monday through Friday 8 AM – 8 PM EST, and Saturday 9 AM – 3 PM EST.
