The Bendpak Cool Boss Portable Evaporative Air Cooler, sometimes called a swamp cooler, provides a low‐cost, environmentally‐friendly way to keep shops cool and workplace areas comfortable. It reduces air temperature by as much as 26 degrees, and because it’s not an air conditioner, costly high‐amp compressor motors aren't necessary, the company says. The air cool is easy to use; fill the reservoir with tap water (or connect to a garden hose) and plug it into a standard 110V outlet.
