In an effort to contribute to the development of motor sports and enhance its company's name recognition, the DENSO Corporation has announced that it will continue to sponsor teams participating in the world's top motor sports including the FIA Formula One World Championship, the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) and FIM Road Racing World Championship (WGP) through the 2008 season. DENSO will also support Toyota Team Sard in the Super GT.

But the company is also using this experience with motor sports to benefit aftermarket parts. "We are using our experience in developing products for motor sport vehicles, which drive under extreme conditions, to develop more advanced technologies," says Koji Kobayashi, DENSO senior managing director responsible for the Corporate Center and Electric Systems Business Group.

DENSO's sponsorships include:

• FIA Formula One World Championship (F1). DENSO will support Panasonic Toyota Racing as a corporate sponsor for the fifth consecutive season. DENSO will also continue to supply spark plugs, radiators, oil-coolers and alternators to the F1 car.

• FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). DENSO will support the Subaru World Rally Team as a corporate sponsor for the fifth consecutive season. DENSO will also continue to supply spark plugs and sensors for the engine management system of the WRC car.

• SUPER GT (GT). DENSO will support Toyota's Team Sard as the main sponsor for the second consecutive season. The DENSO Dunlap Sard SC430 will be entered in the GT 500 class. DENSO's engine management systems, spark plugs, starters, alternators, radiators, oil coolers and various types of sensors will be installed in the DENSO Dunlap Sard SC430.

• FIM Road Racing World Championship (WGP). DENSO will support the LCR Honda team for the fifth consecutive season. DENSO will also continue to supply spark plugs for the Honda MotoGP motorcycle (RC212V type).

In North America, DENSO's sponsorships include:

• NASCAR Automotive Licensing. This is the third year of DENSO's exclusive, multi-year Automotive Licensing program agreement with the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) for its fuel pump products. The agreement allows DENSO's fuel pump product line to carry the prestigious NASCAR Performance® brand on its entire line of First Time Fit® Fuel Pumps, including advertising, marketing materials and packaging.

• NASCAR Sprint Cup and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. DENSO is in the third year of a multi-year agreement to serve as a contingency sponsor for the NASCAR Sprint Cup and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. This year DENSO's corporate logo will be prominently displayed on front fenders of all team race vehicles and show cars. In return, DENSO will provide prize money for the top three finishers of each race, provided they have the DENSO logo on their car.
