StopTech has been named the presenting sponsor of Round 1 of the 25th anniversary season of the Pirelli World Challenge Championships.
StopTech®, the championship-winning high performance and racing brand of brake systems and components from Centric Parts®, has been named the presenting sponsor of Round 1 of the 25th anniversary season of the Pirelli World Challenge Championships – the 2014 Pirelli World Challenge Cadillac Grand Prix of St. Petersburg Presented by StopTech.
The Official Brake System and Official Brake Friction of the Pirelli World Challenge in 2014, StopTech returns as a presenting sponsor and participant in the series where StopTech’s patented calipers and rotors, race pads and high performance brake fluid have been a regular site in Victory Circle as well as throughout the pits.
StopTech’s motto has always been, “Brake Late, Finish First,” and racers know that the longer they can stay on the throttle, the faster their lap times will be. Shorter stopping distances, better modulation and less fade are what set StopTech brakes apart, and the lessons learned on the track have helped StopTech develop street brake systems that are second to none.
The Grand Prix of St. Petersburg Presented by StopTech will be held on the Streets of St. Petersburg, Florida, March 28-30, 2014. The weekend will mark the start of the 25th Anniversary season of the Pirelli World Challenge Championships for the GT and GTS classes.
The race will air on NBC Sports Network April 6 at 5:30PM EDT, and online at world-challengeTV.com.
