Tim and Kim Smith have owned American & Import Auto Repair for 14 years and were nominated for the prestigious award by Federated member Fisher Auto Parts.

“Choosing the Federated Shop of the Year becomes more challenging each year because of the growing number of outstanding shops nominated,” said Phil Moore, senior vice president of Federated Auto Parts. “Although there were many strong contenders, American & Import Auto Repair stood out as this year’s top shop. We congratulate Tim, Kim and their entire staff on a solid track record of success and thank them for working hard every day to keep their customers on the road.”

Family owned and operated, American & Import Auto Repair is a full service auto repair shop that provides service and repair for all makes and models of automobiles. The company participates in the Federated Car Care Center program and has 10 employees, including three ASE Master technicians, is an ASE Blue Seal shop and a member of the Shop Doctor community, an online and coaching resource to help shops improve customer relations.

Actively involved in charitable endeavors in the Johnson City area, American & Import Auto Repair serves as a collection center for the annual Federated Toys for Tots campaign. Tim also is the board chair for the Dawn of Hope Foundation, helping developmentally disabled adults.
