Auto Care Association annual education awards now open for submission
The Mort Schwartz Excellence in Education Award is given to an individual who best advances the concepts and programs for education or continuing education in the North American auto care industry. Created in 2005, the award honors industry success story Mort Schwartz, aftermarket entrepreneur, business owner and consultant, who is a strong advocate for industry education and scholarship programs. Nominations should be submitted for their innovation, advancement or superlative efforts in education and training programs, or scholarship fundraising efforts. To submit a nomination or learn more, use the online application form. The ACE Award, formerly known as the “Head of the Class Award,” recognizes three small, medium and large companies, selected based on their dedication to investing in the growth of their employees as well as professional development and career opportunities offered. “A business is ultimately going to accelerate company growth by investing in its young leaders and their education,” said Michael Rukov, chair of the Auto Care Association’s Education Committee. “The ACE Award celebrates those companies that recognize this and that demonstrate a commitment to providing skill-gaining and career-building opportunities both in and beyond the workplace.” Previous winners of the ACE Award note that the recognition for their education and training programs increased their reputation in both their employees’ and customers’ eyes.
