Effective August 26, 2019, The Parts House (TPH) acquired the assets of Southern Distributors, including five locations in Alabama and one location in Pensacola, Florida.

Southern Distributors, a supplier of OE automotive parts, has built a strong reputation for distributing quality automotive parts throughout Alabama and the Florida panhandle over the past 71 years.  David Honig, CEO of TPH stated, “Southern was on our radar for many years given their quality personnel and geographic footprint. TPH and Southern now have excellent coverage throughout Alabama and the Florida panhandle. We are thrilled to add them to our network of parts professionals.”

Steve Kampwerth, former President/CEO of Southern Distributors, added, “Combining our team and six facilities with The Parts House, extends our reach and enhances our ability to supply professional automotive technicians with great brands, great service and great inventory.  The combined entities will enable us to stock, store and deliver even more parts faster to techs throughout the Southeast.”

The Parts House is a wholesale warehouse distributor of premium automotive and heavy-duty parts and accessories.  This acquisition expands TPH’s footprint in Alabama and the Southeast market. Today, TPH now has 55 locations throughout Florida, Georgia, Puerto Rico, and Alabama. TPH is part of Marubeni Automotive Aftermarket Holdings, which also owns XL Parts in Texas.

The Automotive Distribution Network, operating under the brands of Parts Plus, Parts Plus Mexico, IAPA and Auto Pride, is one of the most diverse groups in the auto-care industry. The Network is a proud member of Nexus North America and Nexus Automotive International, a worldwide group of parts distributors committed to bringing a global approach to the industry.
