Multi Parts, the developer and manufacturer of aftermarket vehicle parts for suppliers, wants to clear up some confusion among consumers caused by the Q2 2022 announcement, “Multiparts Direct Joins the Pronto Network,” according to a Multi Parts news release.
The recently formed venture described in this announcement is associated with the company Parts Geek, and variously used the names “Multiparts Direct” and “Multiple Parts Direct” but is not associated with the well-established “Multi Parts," the release continued.
“Our business was founded by my father, Barry Cohn, thirty-four years ago. Since 2005, we have continuously used the name Multi Parts and worked to protect our trademarks,” said company President and CEO, Brian Cohn. “In all that time, we have identified, engineered and manufactured leading-edge products and technologies exclusively for aftermarket suppliers here in the USA and around the world so that they can get ahead of ‘what’s next’. My global team focuses every day on building trust in our brand, name, and registered marks.”
“I am pleased that we have amicably resolved our differences with Parts Geek and its related entities,” Cohn continued. “While the terms of the settlement are confidential, we are confident we have done what is necessary to avoid marketplace confusion and protect our marks going forward.”
