New scan tools unveiled at 30th Mac Tools Fair, plus 200 additional products
This year marked the 30th Tool Fair for Mac Tools and attendees were live and in person in Orlando, Florida from June 3-5. Over 650 franchisees were at the event and total attendance exceeded 2,000, including guests, employees and suppliers.
Each year, the Tool Fair has a unique theme that summarizes Mac Tools’ goals and results of the year, with this year’s being “Mac Strong.”
“Mac Strong resonated with our team for many reasons. Not only does this year’s theme embody our outstanding results, but it represents the difficult operating conditions caused by the onset of COVID-19 in 2020 and the resilience shown by Mac Tools,” said Phil Cox, president of Mac Tools, adding the company saw 32 percent franchise growth year-over-year.
Mac Tools unveiled a new e-commerce website at the show as well as a slew of new products, such as a new scan tool. The new ET9200 series scan tools feature three wireless tools to fit any job and skill level. ET9200PRO, ADVANCED & ELITE scan tools are designed by technicians, for technicians, the company said.
Asian, domestic and European diagnostic coverage is standard on all three models, in addition to features such as AutoID, Wi-Fi access, Bluetooth connectivity, built-in voltage monitoring, front and rear cameras, and lifetime warranty.
Each of the new ET9200 series tools has been optimized with a high strength, lightweight design, extended battery life and enhanced processor, powered by an upgraded Android operating system.
The quick connect VCI provides a completely wireless experience, utilizing the new “hot” button navigation for quicker access to critical functions, like the quick scan feature. The Google Play store is also available, and users can add accessories such as the Bluetooth battery tester, video scope and chassis ear.
Other new product launches included a 4 pc strikable scraper set, biodegradable lubricant spray, various socket sets, a rechargeable area light, blowguns, Mac-branded screwdrivers, and more. More than 200 products were launched at this year’s Tool Fair.
For this coming year, Mac Tools will be focusing on growing its franchise network.
“Franchise recruitment is a big focus for 2021 and beyond,” said Cox. “We are adding six more people to that team with a goal of reaching 1,500 routes.”
