International Tool & Equipment Group hosts 2018 Expo

May 4, 2018
The event, attended by over 200 sales and marketing professionals, was held in St. Louis, Missouri April 19-21.

The International Tool & Equipment Group (ITEG) hosted its 2018 Expo at the St. Charles (St. Louis) Convention Center April 19-21. Attended by over 200 sales and marketing professionals from the ITEG member organizations, this year’s event focused on small group product training by each of the 40+ manufacturers, and offered expanded training sessions for select manufacturers.

“This year’s event was the largest yet, with each member company sending more personnel than in past years,” said Bill Robinson, ITEG president.

The Expo event represents the company’s greatest opportunity to provide concentrated training on new products and promotions. This training ensures that all attendees have the necessary selling skills that will allow them to grow sales for their customers and for their own organizations.

“Initial feedback from the vendors and attendees has been very positive. Many manufacturers have commented on the high level of knowledge of the member attendees” Robinson said.

Guest speaker Bill Hanvey, president and CEO of Auto Care Association, also spoke about the future of the automotive aftermarket including autonomous vehicles, telematics and right to repair.

Held every other year, Expo 2020 will be held again at the St. Charles Convention Center, April 23-25.
