NAFA Fleet Management Association sent word out in mid-December reminding all that time is running out to be a part of the Fleet Excellence Awards submission process. The submission deadline is January 10, 2016.

NAFA’s 2015 Fleet Excellence Awards (FLEXY) garnered unprecedented response in 2015, according to the company. After more than seventy nominations and many weeks of deliberation, the winners were announced at the 2015 Institute & Expo (I&E) this past April. Embarking on its fourth year, the FLEXYs will once again award in the fields of sustainability, safety, and overall fleet management achievement. Past performance indicates another fierce competition is ahead.NAFA welcomes individuals and teams to submit an entry for the 2016 Fleet Excellence Awards at http://www.flexyawards.com. Three finalists for each award will be chosen for both public fleets and corporate fleets. In addition, one award will be presented in the area of fleet leadership.Finalists will be notified in February and are invited to attend the awards ceremony in Austin, Texas on April 19, where the winner will be announced live on stage in front of hundreds of fleet professionals. The awards presentation is part of an opening night party that celebrates the start of NAFA’s annual Institute & Expo.“The FLEXY award has proven itself to be the preeminent industry award for fleet, and celebrates achievement at the highest level,” said NAFA’s Chief Executive Officer, Phillip E. Russo, CAE. “NAFA is proud to host the FLEXYs for a fourth year as part of our Opening Night Celebration at I&E in Austin, Texas. We encourage everyone who either has, or knows of someone who has, done outstanding work in the fleet community to submit today. ”Finalists are chosen from an esteemed panel of judges that includes fleet management professionals, members of the media, and industry organizations. To ensure the legitimacy of the awards, judges never see the names of the nominees nor the organizations they work for. Voting is 100 percent blind; based solely upon the achievements listed by the nominees on their submission forms. This allows for judging by merit, not name recognition.Individuals may nominate themselves or someone else. Fleet suppliers are free to nominate their clients as well. Entries in multiple categories are also accepted. If additional information for a submission is required, the nominee will be notified to present further data.
