The Electronic Specialties Forehead IR Thermometer, No. DT-8806H, is an FDA approved device and is capable of safely measuring forehead temperatures. The product is designed specifically for taking forehead temperatures and differs from the IR thermometers. For example, there is no laser for safety and eye protection. Further, the temperature range is closely focused to the application, in order to be more accurate. The DT-8806H also features an audible alarm mode and a memory of the last 32 measurements taken. It has two temperature modes: forehead and surface. In surface mode, temperature range is wider (32 to 140 degrees F).
