Ford Direct Injection Idle

This issue is with some 2013-2014 Ford Explorer and Flex vehicles equipped with a 3.5L GTDI engine and built on or before June 1, 2014.

Some 2013-2014 Ford Explorer and Flex vehicles equipped with a 3.5L GTDI engine and built on or before June 1, 2014, may exhibit a rough idle and/or DTC P0087 after a hot engine restart.

Reprogram the PCM to the latest calibration using IDS release 90.03 and higher. Files are available at www.motorcraft.com.
