Bosch Automotive Workshop Services has announced a new Development Rights Agreement (DRA) with Larry Battison, co-founder of Global Dealer Services, to open 15 new Bosch Auto Service Franchise locations in Oklahoma over the next four years. The first location is set to open in the fourth quarter of 2025 in Oklahoma City. It will serve as the first Bosch Auto Service Ambassador location.
As part of the agreement, Battison and his team will have exclusive development rights to the state of Oklahoma. The Bosch Auto Service Ambassador program offers benefits including branding, tools, training, and marketing support beyond the typical Bosch Auto Service Franchise workshop. Ambassador locations gain exclusive resources and recognition, acting as flagship examples of Bosch automotive service excellence.
Battison, who also serves as the current dealer principal at Battison Honda Dealership, noticed an increasing demand for automotive aftermarket servicing and sought out a strategic collaboration with Bosch to bring OE-quality service to the state.
"I've been in the automotive industry for over 40 years, and I understand that the Bosch brand represents quality and innovation, which resonate strongly with our own commitment to excellence," said Battison. "This collaboration will open doors for our communities and bring new career opportunities to aspiring automotive technicians interested in learning directly from an industry leader. With this development, we aim to bring world-class service and reliability to every corner of Oklahoma."
Battison and his team will be the sole franchisee authorized to open Bosch Auto Service locations within the state of Oklahoma for the duration of the agreement. Bosch is also open to working with other qualified franchisees to exercise development rights in other regions. To be considered for a DRA, Bosch and the prospective franchisee will collaborate to define the number of locations to be opened over a set period, and work together to determine the boundaries of the exclusive territory.
According to Bosch, each workshop will be developed with customer service at the forefront, including access to shop management and customer relationship management software to offer an optimal experience to vehicle owners. The shops will have equipment and technologies, including a vehicle alignment machine, an ADAS machine for calibration and servicing, and high-voltage service bays to support EVs. Shops will have access to Bosch resources, tools, equipment, training, and business strategy and support.
