BendPak announced an expansion to its line of parking lifts with the PL-6000DCX Two-Post Parking Lift. The PL-6000DCX is a new design built on a similar platform as its predecessor, the PL-6000DC, with a wider platform for improved access to the vehicles on the bottom level.

The DCX fits in a standard 8" parking space and can handle two vehicles on its own, although the company advises that the system is designed to be linked with other lifts via shared columns to fit more lifts in less space. Each lift has a 6,000 lb capacity and uses an overhead power unit and single direct-drive hydraulic cylinder. The lift operates via gravity-driven lowering with load-holding devices that automatically engage and lock the lift structure as it rises to prevent a sudden freefall.

The wide-deck platform is adjustable and can handle most common pickups, vans, and cars, and users can lower the platform onto the locks to minimize wear on suspension components.

    What people are saying

Sean Price, BendPak director of sales operations, said, "We listened to customers and made our existing space-saving lift more versatile by engineering a wider platform that lets operators open vehicle doors wider to make it easier to get in and out. The PL-6000DCX makes the most of the space available for both long- and short-term parking at home or in a commercial facility."
