SKF names Noga director, automotive communications

SKF has appointed Katie Noga to director, automotive communications for the SKF Vehicle Service Market USA.

SKF has appointed Katie Noga to director, automotive communications for the SKF Vehicle Service Market USA.

Noga has been with the company since 1992 as manager, marketing communications and motorsports for the vehicle service market where she has supported the North American automotive aftermarket communication initiatives, including activity with NAPA, as well as communications initiatives with the heavy duty aftermarket and distribution/OES markets.

In her new role as director, Noga will continue to support the vehicle service market and motorsports program, and also will support SKF’s automotive OE business based in Plymouth, Mich. Her responsibilities include leading program development and management for SKF’s media relations campaigns, national/regional sales promotions, trade shows and event management, merchandising, websites and product launches. Noga will also continue to oversee SKF’s motorsports involvement in North America, supporting the company’s sponsorship initiatives with Penske Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series and IZOD IndyCar Series.

Noga has served as president of the Car Care Council Women’s Board from 2005-2010, and has been a member since its inception in 1996. Her participation has been instrumental in the board’s growth and success. In 2010, the Car Care Council Women’s Board (WB) presented her with the “Aftermarket Woman of the Year” award. Noga is also a member of the Automotive Communication Council (ACC) and has served twice as president.
