Application

With the Mueller-Kueps Sensor Tap Series users can restore the thread on NOX sensor holes, temperature and oxygen sensors as well as particle filters without damaging the exhaust system.

Origin

These taps were created because current taps are not reliable. Usually, they have a one-time use and then you need to buy another one. Another reason is that the risk of damaging the thread is too high which could lead to costly replacements of the exhaust system.

Features and benefits

  • Multi-faceted construction: The triple threat combination of six cutting edges, high-quality steel and double coating makes it a breeze to cut through the heat-tempered steel and provide professional thread restoration.
  • Versatility: The range of available sizes makes the Sensor Tap Series suitable for both light and heavy-duty diesel engines, increasing its utility across different repair scenarios.
  • Ease of use: The super short tap design allows for easy maneuvering in confined spaces, making it user-friendly.
  • Precision and reliability: The integrated guide pin ensures precise threading, minimizing errors and ensuring reliable results.
  • Cost-effective: By providing a durable and efficient tool, it reduces the need for frequent replacements, or replacing the exhaust system thereby saving costs in the long run.

 Manufacturing/engineering specifications
