A&E Tools, a leader in the manufacturing of automotive and industrial specialty hand and diagnostic tools, is announcing the launch of a new brand for existing and new innovations for products previously manufactured and sold under the brand names Kastar, Star, and Hi-Tech.
As A&E prepares to celebrate its 80th Anniversary in 2012, and re-states its commitment to innovation and quality workmanship, along with its commitment to its customers, management has decided to put the family name right on its tools - Lang Tools.
Daniel M. Lang founded the company in 1932. He was succeeded as president in 1960 by his son, John W. Lang. In 1982, his son, John R. Lang, became president, and began a strategy of acquisition to help the company better serve its customers’ needs. John Wm. (Ian) Lang is the family’s fourth generation in company leadership, currently serving as A&E’s vice president of marketing and product management.
“The new Lang Tools brand represents the pride the family has in the business and in its reputation”, said Al Biland, executive vice president and COO of A&E Incorporated and president of A&E Tools,. “Lang Tools reinforces our commitment to new innovative products.” The company will begin shipping the new Lang Tools branded products in early 2012, maintaining existing part numbers to make the transition easy for customers.
