A complimentary multi-point inspection is included on almost all maintenance visits, and technicians perform them without earning any extra. For some technicians, it’s easier to skip the MPI or do a superficial job and move onto the next money-making work order than to be thorough, often missing out on opportunities to upsell.

Minimize the “wasted time” on an MPI by pulling information from the Helios tire inspection. It already contains:

  • Tread depth to check for worn tires or uneven wear
  • Low tire pressure indications
  • Tire manufacturer for each tire, helping identify a mismatched tire
  • Tire expiration dates
  • DOT information

Rather than skimming through the MPI completely, use the tire inspection information to reduce the time investment while still identifying any opportunities or vehicle deficiencies.
